Trip to Pulau Sapi 04.10.14

Since a former classmate of mine, Elvis has returned to Kota Kinabalu from Kuala Lumpur for his semester break, me and a few of our friends decided to organize a trip to Pulau Sapi, which is an island located not far from the coast of Kota Kinabalu.
We gathered at Fook Yuen to have a light breakfast before heading to Jesselton Point to book a craft that would take us to the island.

Shortly after paying the boatman our fares, we began boarding the craft that would take us to the island. Before that, we were given a life jacket for which I'm profoundly grateful for as I couldn't swim.

However, the weather took a turn for the worse as our craft began to maneuver out to sea. The waves began increasing in size, the boat began to rock...a lot. It began to feel more like a roller coaster. As the boat consistently "jumped" each time we hit a wave, I was beginning to feel grateful that I had a light breakfast instead of a heavier one, By the time we reached our destination, the weather had returned to normal and the Sun had returned.

The first thing we did was to find a shaded area to put our belongings, and then............we're off to the beach!!
The beach was filled with both foreign and local tourists who were out enjoying the Sun while swimming in the sea. We had a great time playing in the beach that day. We also swam in the sea.
   
After spending quite some time at the Island, we decided to head back to KK as it was getting quite late at that point.
And so, that's the conclusion of my trip to Pulau Sapi. Overall it was a fun and exciting experience riding on a speedboat to Pulau Sapi. The Island itself was fairly clean. and the seawater was clear enough for me to see some of the fishes swimming beneath the surface.
